A side scrolling shooter, the object is to defend your colonies from various waves of attacking aliens. Revenge of Defender features layered scrolling screens, and new background artwork and enemies for each of 7 levels.

Trivia

Hidden Treasures never received any money from the US release, probably due to Epyx declaring Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The Amiga reissue was reduced so as to fit on a single disk. This meant that the introduction was lost, and also caused the game to crash when attempting to access the High Score table (because it was looking for the ORIGINAL disk one).

These are the aliens on just one of the worlds (the Jungle World): Landers, Blue Hunters, Supply ships, Dragonflies, Hives, Hivesters, Wasps, Pterodactyls, not to mention the Installations that get transformed to Gunners. The Star Feature is the finest combat craft there is, the StarRay Fighter itself.
